Development of Marina Avenue was completed in 1935 by the developer Sydney Parkes and his company Modern Homes and Estates. Sydney Parkes is responsible for much of the development of Motspur Park. It is thought to be named for Princess Marina of Greece who had married the Duke of Kent the previous year. |
