| Notes / History | A cartoon drawn by Collingsby, a local artist, showing Walter Samson driving the Horse Bus. Son of George Samson, who started a stage coach firm in the 1850's at the rear of the White Hart, Walter used to drive the important Horse Buses, including the bus to the City which departed at 9 o' clock each day. Montrose Gardens now stands on the site of the yard. |
