Notes / History | The site chosen for Morden Underground Station pictured in 1924. The "Crown Inn" is just visible, far right. The new station was built in 1926 in typical Art Deco Style - it was designed for the City & South London Railway (later the Northern Line, ) by architect Charles Holden. The building construction allowed for upward development, which finally happened in the 1960s, when offices were added. |
