Notes / History This photo is taken looking towards Croydon. The single signal is at stop and the crossing gates are closed to trains.The signal box to the left of the signal was the penultimate one, replaced on 25th May 1930. The picture was taken in steam days as there is no electric third rail.

Note the enamel advertising sign, Rinso washing powder, to the middle left of picture.
