Merton: Borough of Sport Animations

Merton boasts one of the most distinguished sporting histories in the UK - from its world famous tennis championships, to historic cricket clubs, world class hockey, Olympic athletes, record-breaking football clubs and much more...

Merton is committed to becoming London’s Borough of Sport - by creating more free opportunities for residents to get active, celebrating our sporting heritage and investing in sporting infrastructure.

To highlight the borough's colourful sporting history, Merton Heritage Service has commissioned a series of animations, bringing to life just some of our many historic photographs.
