Merry Christmas from Merton Heritage Service

Sledding on Wimbledon Common, early 1900s

We would like to thank those who have supported us through 2024, whether by supplying photographs, documents and objects for our collection, sharing reminiscences, contributing to or attending talks, walks, displays and activities as part of our annual events programme.

We are particularly grateful to our wonderful heritage volunteers for all their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm.

In 2025 we will be offering another packed programme, from monthly talks at West Barnes Library, to events and displays linked to the 60th anniversary of the London Borough of Merton. We will also host a range of walks, talks and exhibitions to mark 80 years since the end of World War II and will also be running our ever-popular Heritage Discovery Day.

Details of forthcoming events will be available in the new year on this website, the Merton Libraries events page and Eventbrite.

In the meantime, the staff at Merton Heritage Centre wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2025.
