| Notes / History | Demolition of railway bridge. The road bridge was over the railway line that ran from Wimbledon via Merton Park and Merton Abbey Stations to Tooting Junction Station. Passenger traffic ceased on the railway on 3-3-1929 and goods traffic ceased on 1-5-1972 and the track was lifted soon afterwards. Mechanical digger lifting gas cylinders. |
