Notes / History | The Star Pub's annual outing in 1920. During the interwar period, it become increasingly common for local pubs to organise annual outings for their patrons. Foreign holidays were still beyond the means of ordinary people and the concept of a lengthy annual holiday was unknown. Instead, many local people would have focussed their attention on day trips to coastal towns such as Brighton and Littlehampton. |
