| Notes / History | Sports on Lower Green, Mitcham, during the Coronation celebrations for Edward VII. Although Edward's coronation had originally been scheduled for June, it was postponed until 9 August so he could receive treatment for an abdominal cyst. In addition to the sporting entertainments, Mitcham's celebration also featured a procession of decorated vehicles. This picture and No18-2 are two separate photographs, but join together to make a panoramic shot. |
