| Notes / History | Procession passing Three King's Pond towards Fair Green, Mitcham, during the coronation celebrations for George V. Prizes ranging from 5 to 20 shillings were awarded to the winners of the various classes, which included: tradesmens' decorated light vehicles, tradesmens' decorated donkeys and barrows, decorated pony barrows and carts, and decorated bicycles, tricycles or motorcycles. There were also prizes for fancy costumes, such as the 'Dutchman' seen here walking on his hands. |
