| Notes / History | Local riders compete against each other in what appears to be a special horse-relay. Here they are racing to mount and dismount their horses before moving on to the next obstacle. This was one of a number of carnival sports staged at Mitcham Stadium, near Sandy Lane, to mark the Queen's Coronation in 1953. |
