| Notes / History | The Mitcham and Wimbledon Gas Company had joined together in the early 20th Century. They further amalgamated in the 1930s to form the Wandsworth, Wimbledon and Epsom Gas Company. Mitcham was dropped from the name yet this series of photos show the workers and the premises at the Mitcham site in Western Road. A gas holder still remains to this day. |
