| Notes / History | This is a photograph of a coffee stall near the station. This tiny enterprise provided hot drinks and simple snacks to commuters and workmen, such as those building the St. Helier Estate. A wooden kiosk on wheels, it could be towed away at the end of the day’s trading. Notice the line of milk bottles on the front counter – these chubby glass vessels were first introduced in 1922. |
