| Notes / History | The 88 year-old Widow Bignall was a basket maker, who, unconventionally, stripped the willow between her teeth. This method of willow stripping resulted in one of her teeth wearing down and eventually becoming loose, but Widow Bignall solved this by wiring it. Tom Sherman, the Mitcham cricketer, sometimes supplied Widow Bignall with Willow. |
