Notes / History | Dairy cattle waiting at the farm gate prior to milking time. For many years the farm was run by members of the White family, with retail outlets in Merton, Wimbledon and Tooting, selling butter, cream, eggs, poultry and goat’s milk in addition to cow’s milk. The dairy was added to the United Dairies chain during the late 1920s. The pastures were subsequently sold for development but the Kenley Road bottling depot remained until the late 1980s. |
