A Time to Remember
When you go home tell them of us and say: for your tomorrow we gave our today.
As part of the annual Remembrance programme, Merton Heritage Service is launching this new set of resources to honour the borough's war dead and pay tribute to servicemen and women in Merton and across the UK. Thousands sacrificed their lives to protect others, many more have sustained physical injuries and suffer ongoing mental trauma as a result of their wartime experiences. We should never forget their courage and the debt of gratitude owed to them.
During Remembrance Week please support the Poppy Appeal and pause to remember those who have sacrificed so much.
The following resources are part of a growing range of history pages on the Merton Memories website. They include online displays, archive film, poetry, music, reminiscence material, research guides, puzzles, children’s resources and useful websites, including links to military charities and support groups.
