Notes / History The mill shut in 1922 following a strike by the workers. The waterwheels remained in place for several years. One of the waterwheels was finally removed in 1968. The other was left in place, although the paddles were removed.

The waterwheel has since been repaired and the paddles put back in place. However as the water levels of the River Wandle have fallen the paddles no longer make contact with the river.
