| Notes / History | In common with a number of farms and mills they took on the name of their owner or tenant. This may be the case with Sulleridge. Nothing is known about Sulleridges Farm but given the structure of the buildings in the background of this photograph it may well be better known by another name. There were a number of farms around Mitcham Common and haymaking was typical of the type of farm work that told place on the common. |
